Amber Kilgore is a native Austin creative with a BFA in Dance from The University of Texas at Austin. She has worked with Denise Vale (Martha Graham Dance Company), Thaddeus Davis (Wideman/Davis Dance), Monica Bill Barnes (Monica Bill Barnes and Company), Spectrum Dance Theatre, Amy Morrow, Domingo Estrada (Mark Morris Dance Group), Patricia Lent and Jane Freebury (Merce Cunningham Trust), and Sidra Bell (Sidra Bell Dance New York). She has been commissioned to create work for local dancers from McCallum Fine Arts Academy and Austin’s Dance Elite. Amber instructs toddlers to teens in all disciplines at Alisa’s Dance Academy. Beyond her work with emerging dancers Amber has taught music and movement classes to seniors with Alzheimer’s disease. In the future, she hopes to share her creative movement with additional aging populations and choreograph on more of Austin’s dance community in Dance Waterloo’s spring show.
