Elizabeth Wood began dancing at the age of 3 in Austin, Texas. Throughout high school, she performed with Visions in Rhythm PreProfessional dance company, as well as being a member of her high school’s dance team. She received her BFA in Dance from the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago in May 2016, where she performed works by Erika Randall, Victor Alexander, Kristina Isabelle, Dr. Xi Zhang, Carrie Hanson, and Alexa Giacinto. She has also had the joy of taking classes and workshops with Stephen Petronio, David Rousseve, Bill T. Jones, and Andrea Miller. As a research intern for the Dance Center, she had the opportunity to interview and write about artists such as Joe Goode, Rennie Harris, and Jawole Willa Jo Zollar. Lizzi recently relocated back to Austin, and is an instructor at PAIYH Dance Studio. She is thrilled to be joining Dance Waterloo!
