Heidi Walter, a Pennsylvania native, studied dance in New York and graduated from Hofstra University in 2016 with a B.A. in Dance and minors in Biology and Public Relations.
Walter has performed works choreographed by Barbara Angeline, Sean Curran, Rachel List, Amy Marshall, Claire Porter, Anna Hillingas-Troester, Doug Varone and Karla Wolfangle, among others. Most recently she performed in “Recollect,” a dance film choreographed by Morgan Teel which premiered in at Gibney Dance in Manhattan this past August. She has also performed at Mark Morris Studios (Brooklyn, NY), The American College Dance Festival (West Chester, PA and Brockport, NY), and The New York State Dance Education Association Conference (New York, NY).
Besides her studies at Hofstra, Walter has had the privilege of studying with the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University, Parsons Dance, and The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
During her time at Hofstra, Walter also produced and stage-managed the Department of Drama and Dance Student Repertoire Showcase (2014-2016) as well as working in light design.
