What is Dance In Public Spaces (DIPS)? A site-specific class at a public art installation in the City of Austin. This class is for artists and arts administrators. This class offers a variety of levels and modifications for the professional dancer, the visual artist, the musician and more. Learn about a field of art other than your own through networking that makes you move! Class is donation-based for dancers/movers. DIPS is NOT a performance. In June, our class will be at Jimmy Clay and will be cohosted by Body Shift.

Dance In Public Spaces: Jimmy Clay
June 25 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm- $5
About Jimmy Clay: This bronze bust of Austin civic leader Jimmy Clay was commissioned upon his death in 1972 in recognition of his outstanding community service. The work was completed in 1974, donated to the City of Austin by the South Austin Civic Club, and placed in the clubhouse at the new Jimmy Clay Golf Course. It was later moved to its current location outdoors.
