In Contemporary Practice, we will work with a diverse movement vocabulary, derived from the Límon and Horton technique/practices. Focusing on fluidity, in and out of weight bearing techniques, and utilizing a soft curve of the spine. We will create movement phrases from guided improvisational studies, as well as work with set choreography. Each person can modify the movement to their space and their bodies, make it smaller or transposing floor work off the floor. Listening to what you need in each practice session, utilizing release and experiencing movement from within. Each week we will build off of the warm-up, moving into larger movement phrases gradually each session.
